CHIA's 24th Annual Education Conference will take place on March 21-22, 2025 in the Golden Eagle Ballrooms of the Golden Eagle Building, California State University (Cal State LA), 1994 Paseo Rancho Castilla, Los Angeles, CA 90032.

Conference Venue Parking and Directions: 

For the Golden Eagle Ballrooms, the Top-Level of Structure C is available for daily parking and overflow is the entire Structure E.

Conference Accommodation 

This year, CHIA is excited to have arranged two accommodation options for attendees.

Option #1: Resident Hall/Dorm Rooms

CHIA has secured affordable accommodation at the Residence Halls at the South Village of Cal State LA: 

  • Single $59.00/night (plus one-time $22.00/person linen fee)
  • Double $46 per person/night (plus one-time $22.00/person linen fee)
  • Triple $38 per person/night (plus one-time $22.00/person linen fee)
Reserve your room directly with Cal State LA by completing this online form: Book a room at the Residence Halls. Note that your booking is an agreement between yourself and Cal State LA. You may reach out to the contact details indicated on the form for any queries related to terms or conditions.
  • Each floor of the Residence Halls has their respective common bathrooms.
  • Guests will have internet access
  • The beds are a large twin.
  • Housing map
  • Check-out must be before 5pm.
  • Check-in time must be indicated on your form for Cal State LA to confirm. 

Residence Hall Parking

Parking is available for a fee of approximately $12 (to be confirmed directly by Cal State LA to guests at the time of booking). All buildings located within walking distance. Lot 5 is an outdoor lot for guests. From this lot, guests may walk to lot E. From there, guests may access the elevator or take the stairs to the top floor. Guests may walk to the Golden Eagle Ballroom from the top floor.

Note that guests staying on site use a different parking structure than those guests driving in daily. Please be sure to refer to the information that will be provided to you once your booking is confirmed.

Need a residence hall roommate? 

You may indicate your preferred roommate in the Book a room at the Residence Halls form. Alternately, you may connect with colleagues on Facebook and place a roommate request to include in your Residence Halls booking request.

Option #2: Hotel

CHIA has negotiated a discounted rate of $169/night for standard rooms at the Courtyard Los Angeles Monterey Park (555 North Atlantic Boulevard Monterey Park, California, USA, 91754)

Discounted rates apply until February 20, 2025 or sooner if all block rooms are full.

Hotel Parking

Discounted parking is $10/per day (in-and-out).

Hotel Check-In/Out

Hotel check-in is 3:00 pm and check-out is 12:00 pm. Contact the hotel directly to request early check-in or late check-out.

Hotel Amenities 

The Courtyard Los Angeles Monterey Park has a heated swimming pool and a 24/7 fitness center. Bistro, the onsite restaurant, offers healthy breakfast, dinner options and Starbucks coffee.

Hotel Shuttle Service

This hotel does not provide dedicated shuttle service to/from the LAX airport or BUR airport. However, a wide variety of options (shuttles, public transportation, ride share services, rental cars) are available.
